    NYAVA is a Professional Organization that has the Respect of the Not-For-Profit, Education and Government Communities and is the Primary Resource for the Volunteer Resources Management Profession in the NYC area and beyond. Our Mission. Our mission is to advance and serve the volunteer resources management profession in the New York City area. This chapter discusses some of the factors that affect the integration of professional volunteers in a palliative care unit.
